Pastor, Kyle Earley

City of God Cleveland

Pastor Kyle Earley is a pillar of the Cleveland community, an influential strategist, pastor, and social entrepreneur whose leadership blends faith, mental-health advocacy, and hands-on service. With more than 15 years in community organizing, Earley has built coalitions across Ohio, mentored emerging leaders, and delivered practical solutions for people most impacted by stigma and injustice.

Raised in Cleveland, Earley began his journey as a Prevention Specialist at the Minority Behavioral Health Group, a formative role that sharpened his commitment to prevention, education, and wellness. He has since served as Lead Pastor of City of God Church in the Collinwood community, Political Director for Senator Nina Turner’s campaign, and today, as Founder and CEO, he leads the nonprofit It’s Not a Moment, It’s a Movement (INAMIAM), manages Earley Morning Strategies, and pastors City of God, anchoring all of his work in compassion, integrity, and impact.

As founder of the Mentally Mangled Movement, Earley connects faith and mental health with uncommon clarity and care, training over 100 churches and faith leaders to establish mental-health ministries and hosting community conversations, trainings, workshops, and conferences that dismantle stigma and connect families to care. His 2023 book, Dear God, Prayers from a Mentally Mangled Mind, offers honest prayers and hope-filled reflections for healing. His 2025 Mentally Mangled Training Curriculum culminates his perspective that “Theology does not replace Therapy and Therapy does not replace Theology.”

Radio & Media Presence

In addition to his community and ministry leadership, Pastor Kyle Earley is also a dynamic radio personality and host, using media to expand the reach of faith-based dialogue and mental wellness education. He was most recently featured on WZAK FM 93.1 in Cleveland, Ohio, with a powerful segment titled “We Need a Word.”

He also served as a featured host on BBC Community Radio WOVU 95.9 FM, where he led his own show, “Mentally Mangled Mondays.” Through these platforms, Pastor Kyle brings spiritual insight, real-life conversations, and encouragement to thousands across Northeast Ohio.

Earley’s entrepreneurial impact is equally tangible: launching job-training pathways, supporting housing assistance for expectant mothers, organizing after-school programs, and convening parent dialogues, each initiative designed to uplift marginalized communities and create durable change. His career reflects a steady pattern of turning adversity into opportunity through strategic vision, coalition building, and relentless follow-through.

A widely recognized servant-leader, Earley’s honors include Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, Top 50 Influential Leaders, the State of Ohio Martin Luther King Jr. Social Justice Award, the Cleveland Cavaliers Black Heritage Celebration honoree, and the Helping Hands Award for mental health, social justice, and community advocacy.

He is a graduate of the Black Church Studies Program at Ashland Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Christian Education at Virginia Union’s Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology.

Above all, Pastor Kyle Earley gives from the heart and loves people, using his voice, his platforms, and his partnerships to restore minds, revive vision, and build healthier, more hopeful communities for all. He is blessed to share life with his wife, Stephanie Pope Earley, and is the proud father of two beautiful daughters who inspire his commitment to family, faith, and future generations.
